Alva Studios are committed to the safety of our clients and staff. We are taking all necessary measures to ensure that shoots can be facilitated at our premises in a safe manner

Changes to working conditions at Alva Studios during the COVID-19 pandemic

Capacity

In order to observe current social distancing guidelines we have determined a safe maximum number   of crew members that can be hosted in each of our studios.

This formula allocates at least 4 sqm of working space for each crew member, with an additional 30% dedicated to access routes.

Please note the above maximum studio capacities have been calculated from cove usable area. These numbers can be increased safely if styling, HMU and lounge areas are included in the calculation.

Transmission Prevention

-  All Alva Studios staff will be issued with appropriate PPE on a daily basis and will be required to wear it throughout your shoot.

-  Alcohol based hand sanitiser and hand soap will be available for use throughout the day in all our studios and shared spaces.

-  An enhanced hourly cleaning schedule will be in operation at all our sites with a special focus on high- touch surfaces.

Additional Services

-  On request a grid system can be laid on the studio floor to remind crew to observe social distancing and maintain a minimum 2m separation. Please enquire for details and pricing.

-  We have added PPE equipment (face masks, face visors, gloves, hand sanitiser, surface sanitiser) to our sale items. These will be available to order for any shoots that may require crew to work at closer distances than the recommended guidelines*.

-  All studio spaces at Alva Studios are fully networked which gives us the ability to provide, on request, remote monitors along with radio comms. These can be positioned at chosen locations around the space enabling your team to observe safe distancing while on set.

Staff Guidance

-  We are operating with reduced staff numbers in our studios and offices to ensure that all current social distancing guidelines can be followed whilst providing a minimum 4sqm working space per person.

-  Alcohol based hand sanitiser and anti-bacterial soap is available to all staff for use throughout the day. All staff are required to wash their hands on a regular basis throughout the day.

-  Any staff showing Covid-19 related symptoms are required to stay at home and self-isolate in line with government and WHO advice.
